Explainify Pricing 2026: Plans, Minimums, Alternatives

Explainify does not publish a price list: as of 9 October 2026, its /pricing/ URL redirects to the homepage, the quote follows a free strategy call, and the only dollar figures on the site are the ranges in a July 2026 blog article, roughly $3,000 for a whiteboard video up to $35,000 or more for an enterprise launch system. That is typical for a premium animation studio, and it means the useful question is not “what is the sticker price” but “what does the published ballpark include and what should I ask before I sign.”

This guide is pricing only. Our Explainify review covers the studio’s quality, process and pros and cons, and does not try to price every tier. Here we quote only what Explainify’s own live pages say about money, flag the places they disagree with each other, and show how those numbers sit in a B2B tech budget. Increditors is a video editing company for B2B tech teams, so we have a view on the alternatives, and we label it as ours.

TL;DR

Explainify has no pricing page: as of 9 October 2026, explainify.com/pricing/ redirects to its homepage and the quote comes after a free strategy call. The only dollar figures on its site sit in a July 2026 blog article: roughly $3,000 to $6,000 for a whiteboard video or short-form ad, $6,000 to $15,000 for a standard custom 2D explainer, $15,000 to $20,000 for a premium one, and $35,000 or more for an enterprise launch system. The site also mentions volume discounts starting at three or more videos. Treat those as Explainify’s published ballpark, not a quote, and take the checklist below into the call.

The short answer

There is no Explainify rate card. On 9 October 2026 we requested explainify.com/pricing/ and it resolved to the homepage, which describes a free strategy call rather than plans. The quote page describes that call as a working session that is free whether or not you hire Explainify, and the process page says scope, format, length and call to action are agreed before anything is quoted.

The figures that do exist are in Explainify’s own cost article, published in July 2026. Its table gives six bands, from about $3,000 to $6,000 for a whiteboard explainer or short-form ad up to $35,000 or more for an enterprise launch system, plus a monthly band for ongoing short-form content. The same article says a custom 60-second premium explainer with full strategy support lands closer to $17,000 in the introduction, and near $15,000 in its FAQ. The introduction ends its overall range at $30,000 while the FAQ ends it at $40,000. We quote both and treat them as a ballpark, not an offer.

💡 Pro Tip: When a vendor publishes a range in a blog and sells by quote, use the range to size your budget and the quote to size the project. Never let a blog figure become the number you promise your CFO.

What Explainify publishes about pricing

Here is what the live pages say as of 9 October 2026, and where the gaps are. We quote only what is on the page and mark everything else as unpublished.

Topic What Explainify says (as of 9 Oct 2026) Gap to close on the call
Price list No pricing page; /pricing/ redirects to the homepage; free strategy call instead Written quote for your exact scope
Published ranges July 2026 blog article: about $3,000 to $30,000 (intro) and $3,000 to $40,000 (FAQ) Which band your project falls into and why
Budget stance Quote page: a certain level of production value is needed for a return; options for low to high budgets The practical floor for a technical product
Volume pricing Quote page: volume discounts starting at three or more videos Discount size, and whether videos must be ordered together
Video length Quote page: sweet spot between 60 seconds and 2 minutes; blog: most land at 60 to 90 seconds Whether a longer product walkthrough is priced as one video or two
Templates Quote page: everything is bespoke, no templates or icon libraries What custom illustration scope is in the base price
Source files Quote page: hi-res layered source files for designs, music and voiceover are handed over Whether this is included at every price point
AI use Blog: scriptwriting and voiceover can be AI-assisted to cut cost, or handled by senior writers and human voice artists Where AI is used on your project and the price difference

If you want to read the sources yourself, start with Explainify’s own cost article, then the quote page and the process page. Take dated screenshots for your records, because all three can change without notice.

Explainify’s own price ladder

This is the table from Explainify’s own cost article, reproduced as the vendor published it as of 9 October 2026. Nothing in the middle column is our estimate.

What you are buying Typical range per Explainify’s July 2026 article Our note
Whiteboard explainer or short-form ad $3,000 to $6,000 The entry point on the page; fits simple messaging
Custom 2D explainer (60 sec, standard) $6,000 to $15,000 The band most B2B software teams will start from
Premium or enhanced explainer $15,000 to $20,000 The article places a premium 60-second video with full strategy support near $17,000
Content bundle (explainer plus ad variations) $15,000 to $25,000 The cutdowns are where reuse value comes from
Enterprise launch system $35,000 or more Open-ended; a launch with several assets
Ongoing short-form content (monthly) $3,000 to $4,000 per month Our arithmetic: $36,000 to $48,000 over twelve months

Two things stand out. First, the ladder overlaps: a custom explainer can sit in the $6,000 to $15,000 band or the $15,000 to $20,000 band depending on how premium and strategy-heavy it is, so the label on your quote matters more than the number. Second, Explainify’s entry bands start lower than the outside estimates we used in our review, which hedged a standard 60-second explainer at a $7,500 to $10,000 start and more complex work at $15,000 to $30,000 or more, drawn from public discussions rather than the vendor. The vendor’s own figures take precedence, and we recommend asking for the actual quote either way.

For the wider market context, our explainer video cost guide walks through typical ranges with hedged framing across vendors, and our B2B video agency cost guide covers what strategy-led retainers look like.

Minimums, bundles and starting points

Searchers often type “Explainify minimum” or “Explainify cost” expecting one number. There is not one. Here is how to read what exists.

  • No minimum budget or minimum project size is stated on any page we found.
  • The lowest figure on the site is the start of the whiteboard and short-form ad band, about $3,000.
  • The quote page says a certain level of production value is necessary for any return, but that there are options for low to high budgets, so a floor exists even though it is unpublished.
  • Volume discounts start at three or more videos, which hints that Explainify would rather sell a small series than a single asset.
  • The monthly short-form band is the closest thing to a retainer on the site, at about $3,000 to $4,000 per month.

Put together, the realistic reading for a B2B software team is a one-off flagship explainer in the mid four figures to low five figures, with a bundle or monthly short-form program above that. We have not seen a published minimum term for the monthly work, so that is a question for the call, not a fact.

💡 Pro Tip: If you will need more than two videos in the next year, ask for the volume discount at the start. The quote page ties discounts to three or more videos, and negotiating after the first video leaves you without leverage.

What the price is said to include

The cost article lists what a complete engagement should cover, and it frames this as a checklist for any vendor. We reproduce it as Explainify’s stated standard, not as a guarantee.

Deliverable Listed as part of a complete engagement Why it matters for B2B tech
Discovery and messaging strategy Yes A technical product needs the story fixed before design begins
Scriptwriting Yes, AI-assisted or by senior writers The script does the selling; ask who writes it
Storyboarding Yes Your product team can correct inaccuracies before animation
Custom illustration and animation Yes The main cost driver; template work is cheaper but less specific
Voiceover Yes, AI or human Credibility for technical buyers is often voice-led
Music and sound design Yes Check licensing terms for paid use
Revision rounds at each stage Yes, number not published Late changes are what push projects over budget
Final HD and source files Yes Source files let you update the video when the product UI changes

What the article does not mention is multi-format exports, captions or translations as standard line items. Treat those as questions rather than assumptions, particularly if your sales team will run the video in several aspect ratios and your accessibility policy requires captions.

What moves an Explainify quote

Explainify’s article names length, animation style, script complexity, voiceover and customization as the five drivers. For a B2B software, AI or data product the order of importance tends to differ, so here is how we would weigh them.

Cost driver Why it moves the price How to keep it in check
Script complexity A technical product with several stakeholders takes more strategy and review cycles Bring a product expert and your messaging document to the first call
Animation style Whiteboard and simple motion graphics cost less; custom character and illustrated scenes cost more Pick the style that explains the product, not the one that looks the richest
Length and scope A 60-second video costs less than a 2-minute walkthrough or a launch set Split a long story into a hero video plus short cutdowns
Voiceover Human artists cost more than AI voice Use human voice for flagship assets and AI for internal ones, if the vendor allows it
Customization and revisions Fully custom scenes and extra rounds add hours Lock messaging before storyboard and name one approver
Number of videos Volume discounts start at three or more videos Plan a quarter at a time and commission a series together

If your pipeline needs a steady stream of product, demo and explainer assets rather than one hero video, our video editing retainer cost guide and agency pricing models guide explain how retainers differ from project fees, and our technical explainer video guide covers briefing for complex products.

Project, bundle and retainer compared

Comparison of three ways to buy explainer video: one-off project, volume bundle and ongoing retainer
Three ways to buy explainer video: one-off project, volume bundle, and ongoing retainer.

Most of the confusion in vendor pricing comes from comparing different buying models on one axis. This table puts the three structures that appear in Explainify’s own materials side by side. It describes the models in general, not a specific contract.

Model How you pay Best for Watch out for
One-off project Fixed fee scoped to one video A single homepage or launch explainer Restarting discovery for every new video; late scope changes
Volume bundle Discounted price for three or more videos A planned series, such as a product line or customer journey Committing to a series before the first video proves the style
Ongoing retainer Monthly fee for short-form content A steady stream of ads and social cutdowns Paying for capacity you do not use; unpublished minimum term

Neither model wins everywhere. A launch with one hero video fits a project fee. A team that needs demos, cutdowns and social assets every month usually gets better economics from a retainer, which is the model our SaaS video editing guide describes in detail.

Questions to ask before you sign

Take this checklist into any vendor call, Explainify included. It turns a range into a number you can compare.

  • Which published band does my project fall in, and what pushes it up or down?
  • Is there a minimum project size or minimum monthly spend?
  • How many revision rounds are included at each stage: script, storyboard, animation?
  • Where do you use AI in scripting or voiceover on my project, and what does it change in price?
  • What does the volume discount apply to, and must the videos be commissioned together?
  • Are cutdowns, alternate aspect ratios, captions and translations included or billed separately?
  • Who owns the script, voiceover and layered source files if we stop working together?
  • What is the turnaround for the first video and for later ones?
  • Who writes the script, and how much technical review time do you need from my team?

💡 Pro Tip: Send the same one-page brief to every vendor you shortlist. Quotes built from the same brief are comparable; quotes built from a conversation are not.

Explainify alternatives for B2B tech teams

If the quote or the project-by-project model does not fit, here is a short list in the order we would put it for a B2B tech or SaaS marketing team that wants strategy plus production. We rank our own company first and say why; read the vendor pages yourself before you decide. For a wider list of studios see our best explainer video companies guide.

1. Increditors

Increditors is a premium, strategy-led video editing company for B2B tech teams, built around an ongoing relationship with a dedicated team rather than one-off projects. It suits companies selling a complex product, where the video has to carry an argument and the next video has to build on the last one. We do not publish prices, and we will not pretend a comparison with a published blog range is apples to apples: talk to us and to Explainify with the same brief and compare the quotes.

2. VideoEditingCompany

VideoEditingCompany is a premium B2B and SaaS-focused video editing service with a retainer model and dedicated teams. It is a fit when you already have footage and need an editing team rather than an animation studio.

3. Vidico

Vidico is a full-service studio covering animation, live action and short-form, and like Explainify it sells by quote. Our Vidico pricing guide reads its live pages the same way, and our Vidico review covers fit.

4. Demo Duck and other explainer studios

Demo Duck is another explainer studio that B2B software teams shortlist. See our Demo Duck review and, for a roundup of options, our Demo Duck alternatives guide.

5. Superside

Superside is a design and creative subscription that covers video among many formats. Our Superside pricing guide covers its plans and minimums. It suits teams that need a broad creative supply more than a video-first strategy.

Option Model Best for Pricing visibility
Increditors Strategy-led ongoing relationship Complex B2B tech products needing a steady video engine No published prices; discovery call
VideoEditingCompany Retainer, dedicated teams Teams with footage that need premium editing Quote based
Explainify Project, volume bundle, monthly short-form Animated explainers for complex B2B products No price list; blog ranges as of 9 Oct 2026
Vidico Quote, credits, subscription Full-service animation and production No price list; see our guide
Superside Design subscription Broad creative supply across formats Plan based; see our guide

Who Explainify pricing suits

Explainify is a credible specialist that has focused on animation for complex products for 14+ years by its own account, and its published ranges are more open than many studios’. Here is how we would sort the fit.

  • It suits you if you need one polished animated explainer for a hard-to-explain B2B product, have a budget in the ranges above, and are happy to buy by project.
  • It suits you if you plan a small series of three or more videos and want to use the volume discount mentioned on its quote page.
  • It may not suit you if you need a continuous stream of edited assets across YouTube, LinkedIn and sales enablement, where an ongoing retainer usually gives better cost per usable video.
  • It may not suit you if you already have footage and mainly need premium editing, or want published prices before the first call.

For the studio’s process, portfolio and a full pros and cons list, read our Explainify review. If you are hiring an explainer agency for the first time, our SaaS explainer video agency guide covers how to brief one.

How this played out

TuMeke is an AI ergonomics SaaS company and a client of ours for four years. Its product is hard to explain in a sentence, and the team has told us that animations make everything clear. That experience shapes how we think about price: for a complex product the question is less “what does one video cost” and more “who understands the product well enough to keep making videos that explain it.” A long relationship lowers the cost of every later video, because the team already knows the product. You can read more on the TuMeke project page and on our case studies page.

FAQ

How much does Explainify cost?

Explainify does not publish a pricing page. As of 9 October 2026 its July 2026 blog article says most B2B explainer videos cost between about $3,000 and $30,000 in the introduction and $3,000 to $40,000 in the FAQ, with a standard custom 60-second 2D explainer in the $6,000 to $15,000 band. Your actual quote comes after a strategy call and depends on length, style, script complexity and customization.

Does Explainify publish a price list?

No. Visiting explainify.com/pricing/ on 9 October 2026 redirected to the homepage, and the site routes buyers to a free strategy call. The only figures we found are the ranges in its own blog article on B2B explainer video cost.

Does Explainify have a minimum project size?

No minimum is stated. Its cost article puts whiteboard videos and short-form ads at the low end, starting around $3,000, and its quote page says it has options for low to high budgets while noting a certain level of production value is needed to see a return. Ask for any minimum in writing.

Does Explainify offer discounts for multiple videos?

Its quote page says volume discounts start at three or more videos. The page gives no percentage or price, so ask what the discount applies to and whether the videos must be commissioned together.

Does the Explainify price include source files and revisions?

Its cost article lists revision rounds at each stage and final HD files with source files among what a complete engagement should include, and its quote page says it hands over layered source files for designs, music and voiceover. It does not publish the number of revision rounds, so confirm that in your scope document.

What are good Explainify alternatives?

It depends on what you are buying. For a strategy-led video partner for a B2B tech product, Increditors and VideoEditingCompany are options we cover below. For other explainer studios see our best explainer video companies guide, and for how Vidico prices its work see our Vidico review.

Verdict

Explainify pricing is quote-based, with no price list and a set of published ranges from about $3,000 to $35,000 or more in a July 2026 blog article, as of 9 October 2026. That is more openness than many studios offer, and still not a quote. Use the ranges to size your budget, get the minimum, the revision rounds, the AI use and the volume discount in writing, and compare cost per usable video rather than the headline number.

If you want a strategy-led partner that works with your B2B tech team on an ongoing basis, Increditors is a video editing company built for that, and we are happy to compare notes on a call using your brief. For a wider market view see VideoEditingCompany and our explainer video cost guide.
