We started working with Dan in 2023 and regularly produce his videos on YouTube, which are mostly interviews with AI thought leaders and videos about AI.

Starting on the wrong foot

When we started working with Dan years ago, there were no video guidelines or documents we could follow. Our dedicated creative director and video editor tried to apply all the previous comments to the new videos, and even with our QC system, a few notes slipped away here and there.

Dan was mad.
He had enough.
I (Mo) had to ask him to give our team another chance.
Luckily, he agreed.

Quality Control (QC)

So, we created a Google Doc, writing Dan’s feedback in Frame.io. This way, our dedicated editor could quickly check the doc when he’s editing the video to make sure everything is on brand and our dedicated creative director could also check the doc when he reviews the editor’s work.

Did it work? Of course!

That’s what got us all the reviews from Dan on Trello, our project management tool.
