Last checked: October 2026 (prices read 24 Oct 2026).
Short answer
Wedding video editing costs $350-$660 for a highlight film and $280-$850 for a full-length film at specialist editing shops (editing only, read on vendor sites, October 2026). Marketplaces run $50-$250, freelancers $200-$520, agencies $800-$2,000+.
TL;DR
We read 27 prices and 14 add-on charges from seven public pages on 24 Oct 2026. Price follows deliverable and length: a short highlight is the most expensive minute-for-minute, rush adds 25% to 30%, and extra cameras, extra days and huge source folders add flat fees. If you edit more than a few weddings a month, a subscription (from $1,000/month at Vidpros) beats paying per film.

Wedding video editing cost is one of the least transparent lines in a wedding production budget, because the same words (“wedding video editing price”, “marriage video editing price”) cover a $50 marketplace gig and a $2,000 agency package. This guide covers editing only: the post-production work of turning raw footage into a highlight film, a full film or a same-day edit. It does not price shooting. If you are choosing a vendor rather than a price, read our best wedding video editing services comparison or see our wedding video editing service page; this page owns the price question. For other video types, our video editing cost guide is the hub, and a video editing agency like ours is only one of the options priced below.
The Real Range: What Wedding Video Editing Costs in 2026
Five different business models share this market, and each prices for a different buyer. Once you know which model a quote belongs to, the number makes sense. The ranges below are quoted from the sources linked in the price table further down, all read on 24 Oct 2026.
💡 Pro Tip: Always confirm whether a number is editing only or includes filming. ReelRate states that full wedding production runs $1,500-$5,000+ because it includes the shooter. Mixing the two is the most common reason quotes look wildly different.
If you are a couple with raw footage
Most of the shops in this guide sell to wedding videographers and studios, not to couples. A couple with a card of guest footage, or a shooter who does not edit, will normally hire a freelancer at roughly $200-$520 per wedding for editing only (ReelRate, read 24 Oct 2026), or a marketplace editor at $50-$250 with the quality trade-offs above. We could not retrieve The Knot, Thumbtack or WeddingWire pricing pages (they blocked our requests), so we do not quote wedding videography package averages here.
Price Table: Figures Read on Vendor Sites
Every row below was read from the linked page on 24 Oct 2026. Prices are list prices in US dollars and can change, so check the page before you order. The table holds 27 price points from seven sources; two are guide-stated ranges and are marked as such.
📌 Note: Bride&Groom.video states a 4.9 rating from 157 published client reviews and 12,000+ wedding films delivered on its own pricing page; Wedwill states 800+ projects edited and a 4.5+ Trustpilot rating. Those are vendor-stated figures we did not independently verify, so treat them as claims, not ratings.

Highlight, Full Film or Same-Day Edit: What Each Package Costs
Wedding editing is sold as a set of deliverables from the same footage. The table puts the published per-film prices side by side by package type.
On a per-minute basis, short highlights are the priciest work. Using Bride&Groom.video’s published $595 price for a 4-9 minute highlight gives roughly $66 to $149 per finished minute (our arithmetic), against a few dollars per minute for a 90-minute full film. That is why a “2-3 minute highlight” can cost almost as much as a feature. A true same-day edit is a different service, and none of the per-project shops above publish a same-day price; for rush work see our same-day video editing rush services page.
Color grading is usually inside the price
Bride&Groom.video says color correction and grading are inside every price and Cut Pro Media lists grading in every flat rate. Where grading is a separate line, our color grading cost guide shows how it is priced on its own.
Freelancer, Studio or Subscription
Wedding editors work in three commercial shapes. Price is only part of the difference.
Hourly freelancers look cheapest but are the hardest to budget. At the Upwork US range of $10-$60/hr, our arithmetic puts a full wedding of 30 to 50 hours (Cut Pro Media’s assumption) at $300 to $3,000, a wider spread than any per-film shop. Subscriptions change the maths again: at Vidpros, $1,000/month buys 2 editing hours per workday from a dedicated editor, so at four weddings a month it works out to about $250 per wedding if the allowance covers the edit hours (our arithmetic; check how many hours your films take). Our video editing retainer cost guide covers retainer pricing across vendors, and video editor hourly rates covers freelance rates by region.
💡 Pro Tip: Ask any hourly editor for a per-film cap in writing. A flat price for a defined deliverable moves the risk of a long edit from you to them.
Seven Factors That Move the Price
Three of the shops publish their add-on charges, which is the clearest evidence of what actually moves a quote.
1. Raw footage hours and source size
Wedwill includes 500 GB and charges $20 per 100 GB above it; Bride&Groom.video adds $50 above 1 TB. More footage means more syncing and logging before any creative work starts.
2. Turnaround
Standard delivery is 5-12 days at Cut Pro Media and 14 days at Wedwill and Bride&Groom.video. Rush costs +30% at Bride&Groom.video, +$100 at Wedwill and +25-50% in the ReelRate guide.
3. Cameras, drone footage and days
Bride&Groom.video charges $50 for five to six cameras and $100 for seven or more, plus $100 or $200 for two- and three-day weddings. Stabilising and grading drone clips takes extra time too: see our drone footage editing cost breakdown.
4. Number and length of deliverables
A teaser, a highlight, a full film and a speeches cut are separate edits. Wedwill sells highlight extensions at +$25 for 2 minutes and +$50 for 4, and a full film extension at +$100 for 30 minutes.
5. Revision rounds
Wedwill includes three revision rounds via Frame.io; ReelRate lists an extra round at +15-25%. Ask what counts as a revision before you sign.
6. Color grading and audio
Grading and sound mixing are inside the base price at the shops we read. Where they are a separate line, expect the quote to rise.
7. Music licensing and project files
Bride&Groom.video includes licensed music; Wedwill includes royalty-free music and a Premiere Pro project file with each order; Cut Pro Media returns editable Premiere Pro project files. If a quote leaves music or project files out, price them separately.
For Videographers: When Outsourcing Pays
For a wedding videographer, the real comparison is editing yourself versus paying someone else. Cut Pro Media assumes 30-50 hours of post-production per wedding and a $75-$150 effective hourly rate when you are shooting or selling, which puts the opportunity cost of editing yourself at $2,250 to $7,500 per wedding (Cut Pro Media’s own arithmetic, vendor-stated). Against that, the published per-film prices above run $280-$850. That is a vendor’s framing, so test it against your own numbers; the case is strongest at 10-15+ weddings a year and weaker below that.
Our team at Increditors, a video editing company, has delivered 1,700+ videos for 340+ clients and holds a Clutch rating of 5.0 from 12 reviews. We do not publish our prices, and weddings are not our only work, but the same operating question applies: who edits, how many clients does that editor carry, and what happens in peak season? You can see how we run client work in our case studies.

How to Compare Quotes Without Getting Burned
- Confirm the unit. Is the price per wedding, per film or per hour, and for how many minutes of finished video?
- Ask what is not included. Rush, extra revisions, extra cameras, extra days, large source folders, music and project files are the common add-ons (see the add-on table above).
- Check revision limits. Three rounds is typical in the pages we read; extra rounds cost +15-25% in the ReelRate guide.
- Look for a style-match step. Shops that match your reference films save revisions later.
- Do not pay a large deposit before you see work. Cut Pro Media lists deposit-before-work as a red flag; Wedwill offers a $199 trial and a 7-day money-back guarantee on it.
⚠️ Warning: A price far below the $50-$250 marketplace band should make you ask what is being left out. Budget editing often saves money on the quote and spends it on revisions.
How We Gathered These Prices
We read each page in a live session on 24 Oct 2026 and recorded the price, unit and turnaround exactly as stated; the dataset with a source URL per row is saved with this guide. We included vendors that publish wedding-specific per-project prices and guides that state ranges, and dropped sources we could not retrieve: The Knot, Thumbtack and WeddingWire returned 403 or a bot challenge, Fiverr is blocked to scripts, and Mark Studios sells wedding edits through an instant quote with no public price. Derived figures (our arithmetic) are labelled. Pricing pages change, so we re-check this guide quarterly.
⚠️ Disclosure: This guide is published by Increditors, a video editing company, and we sell editing services. We have not included our own prices here, and we have no relationship with the vendors priced above beyond reading their public pages. Data date: 24 Oct 2026.
Verdict
For a single wedding, budget $350-$660 for a highlight and $280-$850 for a full film at a specialist shop, add 25-30% for rush, and add the flat fees for extra cameras, days and source size. For a studio editing every month, price a subscription against per-film pricing: $1,000/month buys a dedicated editor for 2 hours each workday, which works out to $250 per wedding at four a month, below the $280-$850 per-film prices, if the allowance covers your edit hours. Whatever route you choose, make sure the quote states length, number of films, revision rounds and music before you pay.
FAQ: Wedding Video Editing Cost
How much does it cost to edit a wedding video in 2026?
On the vendor pages we read on 24 Oct 2026, specialist wedding editing shops charge $350 to $660 for a highlight film and $280 to $850 for a full-length film. Wider market ranges are $50 to $250 on marketplaces, $200 to $520 for freelancers and outsource studios, and $800 to $2,000+ for agencies. These are editing-only prices where the videographer supplies the footage.
What is the marriage video editing price for a couple with raw footage?
A couple with raw footage from a shooter or from guests will usually hire a freelancer or outsource studio, which the ReelRate guide puts at $200 to $520 per wedding for editing only. Most wedding editing shops sell to videographers rather than couples, so ask whether they take direct orders. Full wedding production that includes filming is a separate $1,500 to $5,000+ in the same guide.
Why is a highlight film priced differently from a full wedding film?
A highlight film condenses many hours of multi-camera footage into a few minutes, so the labour per finished minute is high. A full film is longer but needs a lighter touch per minute. Because of that, shops price on deliverable and length: Bride&Groom.video charges $495 for a 2-3 minute highlight and $650 for a 20-69 minute full edit, while Cut Pro Media charges $350 for a highlight and $280 for a feature film.
How long does wedding video editing take?
The vendor pages we read state 5 to 12 days at Cut Pro Media, 14 days at Wedwill and 14 days at Bride&Groom.video, with rush options of 7 days. Bride&Groom.video adds 30% for rush and Wedwill adds $100. Same-day edits for the wedding reception are a different, much more expensive service.
Can I negotiate wedding video editing prices?
Often, through volume rather than haggling. Cut Pro Media states 15% off bundles of 4 to 12 projects within 60 days and 22% off monthly retainers. If you edit many weddings a year, a retainer or subscription is the lever. For one-off projects, you can usually reduce the price by dropping optional deliverables such as the teaser or the extra social cuts.
Is this price guide independent?
No. This guide is published by Increditors, a video editing agency, and we sell editing services ourselves. We do not publish our own prices here. Every figure comes from a third-party page linked next to it and read on 24 Oct 2026, and we dropped sources we could not retrieve.
Changelog: 24 Oct 2026 – rebuilt as a price guide: replaced undated ranges with 27 figures read on vendor pages, added add-on charges, package table and subscription comparison; dropped The Knot, BLS and Thumbtack links that could not be re-read.
