How it worked
A weekly series needs a weekly rhythm.
01 · The start
A test edit, then a standing order.
The project opened with a test: two cuts of Heather’s Reality TV vs Real Life idea. By spring the weekly Domi Data episodes were coming in.
02 · The format
One episode, three platform cuts.
Each week’s Domi Data script becomes a vertical video with the week’s numbers on screen: contracts signed, dollar volume, luxury deals over $5M. Captions are burned in so it works with the sound off.
Most weeks we deliver separate Instagram, TikTok and YouTube versions of the same episode.
03 · The rhythm
Batches, delivered weekly.
Work is planned in batches of 5 to 17 videos, eleven batches and counting. Inside a batch, the weekly episodes go through review in Frame.io before they are approved.
Heather was one of our only clients on a 24-hour turnaround. She sent each week’s script at night and we delivered the next day, often in about 15 hours, so the numbers were still current when the video went out.
On Heather’s YouTube channel, most weekly cuts were posted within a day of delivery.
04 · Beyond the weekly
Series, hero reels, and an outro.
On top of the weekly series we cut a seven-part Domi Data 2.0 series, numbered 01 to 07, along with a hero reel and an outro. Website video versions followed.
