Questions
What is a video testimonial service?
A video testimonial service turns a customer interview into finished marketing video. Increditors is the editing side of that: you record your customer, and we edit the testimonial, its cut-downs, vertical clips, captions, thumbnails and transcript. You get one set of files, ready for the website, sales deck, paid social and YouTube.
Do you film the testimonials?
No, we are an editing team. You record on set, on a phone or on a video call and send us the files. GoDaddy’s Photo Ops team works the same way: freelancers shoot small-business customers and we edit what they capture. If you need a crew, we can arrange shoots through our network in the UAE, the US and Canada, scoped and priced before anything is booked.
Can you edit testimonials recorded on Zoom or a webcam?
Yes. Send the original recording, and the separate audio if you have it. We clean up the sound, even out the picture between speakers, and use b-roll, screen recordings and captions so a call recording looks finished. A good story told over a video call beats a polished shoot with nothing to say.
How long should a customer testimonial video be?
Long enough to tell one story. A full testimonial usually runs a few minutes at most, and the cut-downs for ads and social usually run under a minute. We cut both from the same interview, so you never have to choose between a version people watch and a version that fits a placement.
What is the difference between a testimonial video and a case study video?
A testimonial is your customer’s opinion, in their words. A case study video follows one customer’s problem, solution and result, usually with more b-roll, on-screen figures and detail. TuMeke’s film with Pacific Southwest Container is a case study video we edited. Ryley Walker’s video about us is a client testimonial.
How long does editing take?
Scope, cost and delivery date are confirmed before work starts. Most projects are delivered within a week to a few weeks, depending on how much footage there is and how many cuts you need. A project manager keeps the schedule, and revisions are unlimited until you approve the cut.
How much does a testimonial video cost?
It depends on the length of the footage, the number of cuts and how much motion graphics you want. We quote from your footage, not from a rate card, and the quote covers the full testimonial, its cut-downs, vertical clips, captions and thumbnails as one set. Get an estimate in 1 minute with our quiz, or book a call and we’ll quote from what you recorded.
How many revisions are included?
Revisions are unlimited until you approve the cut. Your notes go on the frame in Frame.io, every one is tracked, and we don’t call a video done until you do. You also approve the story outline before we cut, so revisions are usually about detail, not direction.
Will you script our customers?
No. Everything on screen is said by your customer. We choose the order and the cut, and we never put words in anyone’s mouth. If you want help with the interview itself, we send a short question list that gets people talking about the problem, the change and the result.
Who owns the finished videos?
You do. Once paid, the full testimonial, cut-downs, vertical clips, captions and thumbnails are yours to use anywhere, for as long as you like. Music and stock are licensed for your use. Your customer’s consent to appear is yours to collect, and we edit what you send.
More about customer testimonial videos
Read the long version
What makes a customer testimonial video believable
Real words and a clear story. Viewers trust a customer who talks the way people talk, so we keep the pauses that matter and cut the ones that don’t. We open on the problem your customer had, show what changed, and end on the result in their own words. B-roll of their office, your product in use and screen recordings carries the parts that are hard to say on camera. Names, titles and the company logo on screen do the rest: a testimonial is only as believable as the person giving it is identifiable.
Testimonial video production or testimonial video editing?
A testimonial video production company sends a crew to film your customer. We don’t film: we edit footage you already have, or footage you record on a call, a phone or with a local videographer. That keeps a testimonial program simple to run, because your customers can record from wherever they are, and every video still comes out finished and on brand. When a shoot is the right call, we arrange one through our network and scope it before anything is booked, so you still have one team and one quote.
How long should a testimonial video be
A full customer testimonial runs about one to three minutes: long enough for the problem, the change and the result, short enough that a buyer watches to the end. Cut-downs for paid social run 15 to 30 seconds and carry one beat each. Vertical clips for Reels, Shorts and LinkedIn run under a minute. A case study video can go to five or six minutes when the story has numbers and process behind it. We cut all of them from the same interview, so length is a decision about placement, not a limit on what your customer gets to say.
Five mistakes that make a testimonial video fall flat
A script instead of a conversation, so the customer sounds like your brochure. No problem at the start, so the result has nothing to land on. A vague result, when a figure, a before-and-after or a named outcome would do the work. Talking head only, with no b-roll of the product, the office or the screen, so the viewer has nothing to look at while they listen. And one long version only, with no cut-downs or vertical clips, so the video lives on one page and nowhere else. Every one of these is fixed in the edit or in a five-minute brief before the interview.
Where B2B teams use testimonial videos
On the homepage and pricing page, in sales emails and decks, in paid social, and on YouTube. One interview can feed all of them: the full testimonial for the website, cut-downs for ads and email, vertical clips for social, and a case study video when the story has numbers behind it. Transcripts and chapters go with every video, so search engines and AI assistants can read what your customer said, and a quoted line from the video can carry a landing page headline.
What to ask in a testimonial interview
Ask about the situation before you, in their words: what they were doing, what it cost them, what they had tried. Then ask what changed and how they noticed it. Then ask for the result, and push once for a number or a named outcome. Finish with who they would recommend you to and why. Five questions, twenty minutes, one camera and a separate microphone is enough. We send this list to every client before a shoot, and the edit is faster when the interview follows it, because the story is already in order.
Customer testimonial video examples
Every film on this page is real client work: GoDaddy’s customer stories and social ads for small businesses, TuMeke’s case study video with Pacific Southwest Container, five event testimonials for Mastermind 4.0, and long-form interviews for The Trajectory. The five videos near the top are our own clients talking about us, and the two Clutch cards are verified reviews. Nothing here is a mock-up or a stock clip.
